Description

What is the event?

As the winter & holiday seasons approach, it becomes crucial to provide services to unsheltered community members in need.

Many factors have created an increase in La Crosse citizens living chronically unsheltered, including an increased cost of living, systemic barriers from societal re-entry, and a reduction in social support systems. Supplies are becoming more sparce and winter significantly increases the pressure put on the homeless and the organizations which help them.

Independent Living Resources is one of eight Centers for Independent Living in the state of Wisconsin and are leaders in the fight against homelessness in La Crosse. They have provided a list of important items which are most necessary for the coming months.
