Thank you for your interest in serving with us on Saturday, October 3rd!
This group of 15-20 people will be supporting the Mississippi Valley Conservancy to assist with a local natural habitat preserve. We will receive an introduction and training before canvassing the Holland Sand Prairie, collecting native prairie seeds, and possibly cutting out some invasive brush along the journey.
Land Managers Levi Plath and Siena Muehlfeld will meet with the group on-site before we break into smaller teams to walk through the grasslands. Please wear long pants, closed-toe shoes/boots, Viterbo gear, personal work gloves, and other clothes you won't mind getting dirty. Like all sites, we encourage you to bring a sling bag with a full water bottle, a snack, and any other project/location-specific items (poncho, sunscreen, bug spray, etc).
One of our Service Saturdays team members will reach out to you by the end of the day on Thursday, October 1st with a confirmation email and more important project-specific information. Registration closes at the end of the day on Wednesday 9/30.
Please review the information on the Initiative page for a detailed timeline of our day and important reminders!
