Thank you for your interest in serving with us on Saturday, February 22nd!
Join a group of about 15 people as we assist with ongoing invasive species management, brush burning, and other active projects at one of Mississippi Valley Conservancy’s protected land locations. Dress in warm layers and winter boots if you have them! If there’s snow on the ground, we’ll burn brush piles from previous invasive clearing. Wear old, natural fiber clothes because of the possibility of holes from embers.
We will carpool to the final destination. One of our Service Saturday team members will reach out by the end of the day on Wednesday, February 19th with more specific details about our day together.
Timeline:
8a-8:30a = Registration, Nursing Center Lobby
8:30am = Welcome/Kick Off, Nursing 196
9a-12pm = Service at various projects/locations
12pm-1p = Lunch, reflection, and converstion, Nursing 195
Registration closes at the end of the day on Tuesday, February 18th!
