Join a group of about 10 people as we assist with a variety of projects around the New Horizons shelter including building/installing shelving, removing old furniture, assembling new furniture, reorganizing rooms and donations. Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you wouldn't mind getting dirty. Click here to learn more about the New Horizons Domestic Abuse Shelter.
*All participants at this location NEED to pass a background check prior to serving. Please submit the attached PDF to cgburnsgilbert@viterbo.edu as soon as you RSVP to this need. If you do not see the attached background check form, please email ASAP to make sure you are approved before serving. Failure to complete this step means you will not be able to serve with New Horizons.*
Transportation will be provided. One of our Service Saturday team members will reach out by the end of the day on Wednesday, February 19th with more specific details about our day together and the project you sign up for.
Timeline:
8a-8:30a = Registration, Nursing Center Lobby
8:30am = Welcome/Kick Off, Nursing 196
9a-12pm = Service at various projects/locations
12pm-1p = Lunch, reflection, and converstion, Nursing 195
Registration closes at the end of the day on Tuesday, February 18th!
