On the third Friday of every month, The Salvation Army of La Crosse County, in partnership with Hunger Task Force, holds a monthly food distribution for community members to come and recieve a food box. We need volunteers to help run this! Your role would be transporting boxes of food and other goods into vehicles. As The Salvation Army is in the process of guiding this distribution, we really need help from volunteers!
Volunteering adds value to live and our volunteers are absolutley critical to the programs and services here at The Salvation Army. Thank you for your help! In May, 2023, 82 households were served, which included 80 adults, 72 senionrs, and 56 children.
Food boxes contain a variety of dry foods such as canned fruits and vegetables, pasta noodles and spaghetti sauce, jam, crackers, peanut butter, and pretzels. Refridgerated products include milk, cheese, eggs, and yogurt. This is an effort that feeds many poeple - thank you to Hunger Task Force and TEFAP program for your help!
