Needs From: Viterbo University

The West Fork Sports Club is a 501(c)(3) environmental conservation club and campground focused on protecting the West Fork of the Kickapoo Watershed and adjacent cold water trout stream watersheds. We have 20 acres of beautiful land nestled between two valleys. Our 20 acres supports 25 campsites along 3,500 feet of the West Fork of the Kickapoo. We could use help with prairie restoration efforts and the removal of invasive plant species. We also need to keep our floodplain free to willows so we can allow more native riparian grasses and wildflowers grow.

Your help with removing of willows and invasive plant species would be greatly appreciated!

We will be purchasing some larger (root balls about 2-3 feet across) trees that will need planting, This needs to happen after ground thaw and before July or after Aug 20th for them to thrive. 

Pick up fallen sticks and put in tinder holders around campground

We have minor to major tree trimming needing to be completed within the park. We planted 70 new trees last year that may also need some attention.  

To repair odds n ends around the club.   

We have a number of picnic tables that need painting. Some are older and need scraping. Others have been seasoning for 1 year and need a new and first coat of paint.  We also have a small deck attached to what we call the green cabin.
